Getting Started
What BitzStack is, how the self-hosted model works, and the order to set things up in.
What BitzStack is
BitzStack is a self-hosted, customizable business operations & CRM platform covering leads, teams, products, conversions, commissions, payouts, finance and reporting, in one system you fully control.
It runs on infrastructure you own or manage -- your own server or VPS -- rather than as a hosted SaaS product. There is no mandatory recurring BitzStack software subscription; server, domain, database and other infrastructure or third-party service costs are separate from the one-time BitzStack purchase price.
Community vs Pro, at a glance
BitzStack is offered in two editions:
- Community — free, permanently (not a trial, not time-limited). A basic dashboard, up to 3 employees, basic lead import/management with up to 2 lead folders, basic manual lead assignment and tracking, essential settings, and self-hosting. Community is still being finalized — always check the package/documentation that ships with your download for the exact current scope.
- Pro — a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The complete BitzStack product: full team & role management, distribution, products & accounts, commissions, wallets & payouts, company finance & analytics, and the full source package.
See the Pricing section for the current comparison card.
What you receive
After choosing Pro and completing checkout, payment is verified server-side before a secure, time-limited download link is issued — BitzStack never marks an order paid on the browser's word alone. The Community package is available directly from the Community download link on the pricing section, no purchase required.
Alongside the source package, self-hosting is supported by a written Installation Guide (next page), a full video walkthrough, an “AI Setup Prompt” you can hand to any coding AI to assist your install, and an optional paid Deployment Service for a hands-off setup.
Recommended setup order
Once the package is on your server, this is the order most self-hosters follow:
- Deploy — get the package running on your server. See Installation.
- Company configuration — branding, name and essential settings. See Company Setup.
- Founder / Admin setup — create the first owner-level login.
- Users & roles — add your team and assign roles. See User Roles.
- Operational setup — products, lead folders, commission structure, and everything else you'll use day to day.
Exact steps depend on your specific build — always defer to the Installation Guide and AI Setup Prompt bundled with your download for the precise commands for your version.
